EAH RETIREE REUNION 2008 -- Destination St. Louis!

September is rapidly approaching and I know many of you are anxiously awaiting more information on our Retiree Reunion in St. Louis, Sept. 11-14. Please read carefully as I will share more information, ask a few questions where I will need your reply, Visit St. Louis, MOand I will tell you what you need to do to make your hotel reservations.

Hotel: We will be staying at the Crowne Plaza St. Louis - Clayton. A block of rooms is being held for the EAH Retiree Reunion 2008 with arrival on Sept. 11 and departure on Sept. 14. Please call thefollowing toll free number 1-888-870-6556 to confirm your hotel room. Justinform them that you are with the Elanco (ELA) Retiree Reunion 2008 group. We have a guaranteed rate of $129 per double room per night plus the 14.575% tax. Please call the hotel by June 26 to confirm your room and give them your payment details.

Transportation: I know some of you have already booked your flights. The St. Louis airport is only 8 miles from the hotel. However, our hotel provides FREE airport Shuttle. Be sure to book your flights early. Arrival date is Sept. 11 and Departure on Sept. 14… unless you are planning additional activities on your own.

Banquet: We will be offering your choice of 3 entrees for the Banquet on Saturday evening. Please select your entrée on the attached form. Be sure to select for BOTH you and your spouse.

Registration Fee: Our registration fee is $90 per person for the reunion. This will cover the cost of the banquet (no alcohol included as there will be a cash bar), our Hospitality Suite, a Friday morning Grand City Tour with Historical Narrative, and administrative costs (being kept to a minimum by your planning committee) .Please make sure we have your registration fees by July 1. In case of an unforeseen emergency/difficulty, your registration fee will be refunded as long as we have the cancellation by August 8.

There are many sites to see and interesting places to visit in and near downtown St. Louis. To name a few, there is Grants Farm, the famous St. Louis Zoo, Forest Park (home of 1904 World’s Fair), the Art Museum, Eads Bridge, Historic Laclede’s Landing, the Arch on the Mississippi Riverfront, Union Station and the Botanical Gardens.

We are planning two separate Tours on Friday morning. One will go to Historic Grants Farm and the second will go to the beautiful Botanical Gardens. Both tours will provide a historical narrative and allow time for lunch. On Thursday evening during our welcoming reception in our Hospitality Room, a member of the Crowne Plaza staff will talk with us about other opportunities and sights to see in the area.

Golf: I am working with Jim Miyat, our resident golfer in St. Louis to see what is available. But first, I wanted to see if there is enough interest to pursue. Please indicate your interest (Yes/No) on the attached form.
