GALLENTINE, RICH

Three of us from Elanco attended the service for Rich in Scott City, Dave & Jill Hewlett, John Jeffrey, and I. It was representative of Rich & his life.   It centered around his horses, family, and friends.   It was simple, brief, and well thought out, with a cowboy theme.  In the Scott City area, Rich was Elanco and proudly rode for our brand.  Good horses were another of Rich's passions.  His last horse participated in and was an important part of the service.  His memory table centered around his horses, family, and Elanco, with several pictures of Elanco events and customer trips.  Dr. Phil Phar spoke as a friend and on behalf of the cattle industry and Elanco.  I'm not sure how much Rich had to do with the planning of the service, but I thought it was very moving and a good representation of Rich and his life.

I know that several of us knew and have worked with Rich over the years and several were not able to attend the services.  I hope that you don't mind that I give you my impressions of the services. The service was well attended.   Rich's passing was not unexpected, but it is always hard to say good-by to a friend.
